Re-shaping the CofE's geography


At last I have found a copy of Gareth Miller's map of a proposed new provincial and diocesan structure for the CofE, you can see it bigger by clicking on the title of this post. I have mentioned this a few times before, starting here.

Yeah, sometimes I feel like that. But then, do I really want to cede it all to others?

I have many problems with Church in general and the Anglican church in particular. The stupid geographical structure is pretty low on my list.

I can understand that. That's why I've sat on this for about 3 years. But then I got to realising that something like this could, if lots of us decided to give it a shot, catalyse a bit of a shake up ... I don't expect to convince everyone, not those who are wedded to the way it is nor those, like yourself who don't see the point. But maybe there are enough to start a really big conversation which might raise some important issues; such as the ones one of my posts outlines.

So don't feel bad that you feel cynical/skeptical about it all; it's understandable.

Christian England? Maybe not...
